ECUADOR 2000 - or HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION (Tour#6)

 
Lets begin the trip at the house of one of the finest Orchid growers around. Here we have a marvelous Nanodes medusae grown in one of his 7 areas.

Mr. Alfonso Pozo of Cuenca, here in his indoor swimming pool converted into a growing area.

Odontoglossum edwardii - an especially dark clone, growing in one of his outdoor areas.  
 
Dracaula gigas - on a plant with over 80 flowers. One of Mr. Pozo's growing areas. Cyrtochilum macranthum  
 
As you enter his yard And this fine Otoglossum But now onto the tour - as we drive through the high andes towards this rather remarkable site - where the sides of the road are covered with thousands of Phragmepedium reticulatum.  
 
Our Friend and Guide - Eduardo Sanchez - is the first to spot them And I notice a few There all over the mountain
